This kit has endless uses for the communicator, parent, caregiver, teacher, therapists, and it could be used in nursing homes and long term care facilities. The kit comes with an Activity Chart and six sets of color coded cards that represent six catrgories. The categories are Red for Routine Medical Issues and Therapies, Orange for Food and Drink Selections, Yellow for Outside Activities, Green for Activities, Blue for Personal Needs, and Purple for Family and Friends. The kit features Teaching Techniques, a Guide for Uses, and for a small additional cost you can get color coded lanyards to go with each set of cards. The chart and cards can be used as a daily schedule, a source of communication between home and school, a display of favorite activities, and directives for the caregiver to do. The cards can be combined for communication purposes, such asking a friend to go to the park or asking if you can go to the mall and buy a game. The cards could serve as shopping lists and menus too.
